HEADPHONES
High sound pressures starting from a L noise exposure level ≥ 85 dB (A) damage hearing. If continuous noise exceeding the limit values is generated in the workplace, hearing damage can become permanent.
In practice, it is recommended to wear ear protectors when exposed to noise levels that are equal to or greater than Leq 85 dB (A).
This rule is more restrictive than the maximum limits, but its advantage is that it’s very simple and therefore easy to apply.
